Beatrice Narie Brown, 90, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully, July 13, 2016, at Greenfield Senior Living of Oak Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Polly Lay Chambers; son, Floyd A. Beck; Hiram Beck, Preston Shoemaker, William Brown, brothers, J.D. Chambers and Keith Chambers; sisters, Hazel Goad, Janice Rufty, Faye McGuire, and Jesse Goad.
She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church of Claxton, and a former member of Helenwood Baptist Church. She was well known for her vibrant personality and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Tom) Wantland of Knoxville; grandchildren, Christopher Veler, Leslie Lane, and Daniel Beck, all of Knoxville; Tammy Taylor of Chattanooga, Anthony Beck of Texas, and Alyssa and Alexis Beck, both of Oak Ridge; 15 great-grandchildren, brothers, Luther Chambers of Pioneer, and Dean (Imogene) Chambers of Williamsburg, Ky.; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted July 16, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Bond officiating. Interment followed at Woodhaven Cemetery, Claxton.
