Jacob L. Manis, 23

Jacob Landon Manis, 23, passed away in a tragic car accident October 25, 2016, in Ashville, North Carolina.

Born August 7, 1993, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Keith Dean Manis, Jerry Max Hughes and James Ray Erwin; great-grandparents, Merchison and Marie Thompson; and uncle and aunt, Mark Alan Manis and Shana Noell Manis.

He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church and really loved his job as a lineman. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding dirt bikes, horse riding, sports, and his guitar.

He is survived by his parents, Nicholas Ward and Donna Rae Manis of Oneida; brothers: Isaac Colt (Hannah )Manis, Nicholas Luke Manis, Johnathan Daniel Manis, Tucker Grant Manis and Hunter Eli Manis; grandmothers, Patricia Lou Hughes and Virginia Erwin; aunts and uncles: Patricia Stacey (John Edward) Chambers, Derek Keith (Tanya) Manis, Linda Strunk, Ruthie (Chuck) Mullett, Brenda (Thomas) Corder, Karen Erwin, Mike (Rene) Erwin, Tammy Sexton, and Tim (Stephanie) Erwin; special nephew, Solomon Boone Manis; special cousins: Cindy and Adam Daugherty, Colten and Carter Daugherty and Corey Parker Manis; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted October 29, at New Haven Baptist Church with Bro. John Vernon Thompson, Bro. Waylon Payne, and Isaac Manis officiating. Graveside service was conducted October 30, at Cooper Memorial Gardens.
