James E. Watson, 87

James Elbert Watson, 87, passed away September 21, 2016, at Huntsville Manor Nursing and Rehab Facility in Huntsville.

Born in Scott County, April 18, 1929, he was preceded in death by his parents, Tollie and Nancy Thomas Watson; first wife, Norma June Denton Watson; second wife, Betty Lewallen Watson; brothers: Carlis, Henry, and infant, Canie Watson; and sisters: Geneva Smith, Flora Choate, Georgia Brown, and Martha Watson

He was a member of West Oneida United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Norman Clyde Watson; granddaughter, Misty Cresap; step-children, Linda (Carl) King and Terry Lewallen; step-grandchildren, Brandon King, Brooke Blevins, Terry Lee Lewallen, Dusty Lewallen and Timothy Lewallen; two great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren brothers: Joseph, Howard and Otis Watson; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted September 24, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Ellis officiating. Music was provided by family and friends. Interment followed at Kidd-Marcum Cemetery.
