Glinis Byrge Hughett, 72

Glinis Mae Byrge Hughett, 72, of the Verdun community in Oneida, passed away September 14, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Campbell County, Tennessee, December 7, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Bertha Overton Byrge; husband, M. J. Hughett; son, Anthony Allen Pryor; infant grandchild, Jerrianda Kennedy; brothers, Carl and Eugene Byrge; step-daughter, Angela Jeffers; and brother-in-law, Gaston Williams.

She is survived by her children: Tammy (Randy) Kennedy, Larry (Tiffany) Byrge, Jo Ann (Perry) Hutson and Sherry (Tim) Hicks; grandchildren: Jordan Kennedy, Bo Byrge, Shane Byrge, Emily Byrge, Cindy Jeffers, Nicky Yancey, Lee Ann Smith, Taylor Hicks and Ethan Hicks; numerous great-grandchildren, special friend, Harold Cotton; step-children: Benny (Connie) Hughett, Larry (Susan) Hughett, Dorcella Lowe, and Janet (Paul) Keeton; step-grandchildren: Contessa Daugherty, Jared Hughett, Samuel and Marty Hughett, Kasi and Tyler Lowe, Latisha Griffith and Amber Rosenbaum; siblings: Verlon Byrge, James Byrge and Lorene Williams; in-laws: Woodrow (Charlene) Hughett, Elmer (Sharon) Hughett, Roscoe (Joann) Hughett, Naomi Sexton and Jewell Byrd; church family, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted September 17, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Burchfield and Bro. Billy Lowe officiating. Music was provided by Tunnell Hill Baptist Church Choir. Graveside service was conducted September 18, at Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.
