Golda Chambers Phillips, 84, of Loganville, Georgia, formerly of Scott County, passed away July 4, 2016, at home.
Born in Scott County, August 13, 1931, she was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield and Osa Strunk Chambers; husband, Clifton Phillips; children, Tracy Phillips and Margaret Phillips; brothers, Junior Chambers and Bud Chambers; and sisters: Evelyn, Martha and Leona.
She was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church in Conyers, Georgia.
She is survived by her children: Donald Phillips, Arnold (Diane) Phillips, Melvin (Wanda) Phillips, Gary Phillips, Gordon Phillips, Vaughn (Heather) Phillips and Tim (Judy) Phillips; grandchildren: Melissa, Keith, Pamela, Kevin, Chris, Karen, Latisha, Erik, Landon, Logan, Austin, Chandler, Timmy, Christy, Kimberly and Michael; great-grandchildren: Josh, Lee-Anne, Alyssia, Danica, Destiny, Ethan, Anna, Triston, Mark and Emily; sisters: Betty (Galen), Laura and Alma; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted July 7, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Huntsville with Bro. Garfield Chambers officiating. Interment followed at Strunk Cemetery.
