Jean Ellis Puckett, 86, of Oneida, passed away peacefully, April 25, 2016, at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dorothy Phillips Ellis; and husband, John T. Puckett.
She was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida, a 1947 graduate of Oneida High School, worked at the chamber of commerce during the 1970s and Stride Rite in the Hamilton Place Mall-Chattanooga.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy P. (Dennis) Brown of Riverview, Fla.; son, Monty (Lori) Puckett of Kingsport; grandchildren, Garrison, and Andrea Foster of Northville, Mich.; great-granddaughter, Jade; brother-in-law, Dale (Flonnie) Smith of Oneida; special friends, Mitzi Baxter, and Rena Erwin and family; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted April 29, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. Interment followed at Hazel Valley Cemetery.
