Christine Chitwood, 83, of Winfield, passed away October 1, 2016, at Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by her family.
Born in 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Timon and Laura Neal Laxton; husband, Carl Chitwood; sons, Kenny Lee Chitwood and Larry Wayne Chitwood; and sister, Norma Jean Meadows.
She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Anna Ruth King, Dorothy Jane Mullins, Danny Boy “Horse” (Judy) Chitwood and Marty Chitwood; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, brother, Thomas Laxton; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted October 4, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating. Interment followed at Chitwood Cemetery.
