Lydia Davis Trammell, 86, of Winfield, passed away August 16, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Scott County, August 29, 1929, she was preceded in death by her parents, Balis and Louisa Trammell Davis; husband, Joe Trammell; great-grandson, Joshua Crusey; brothers, Wilbert (Jocie), Roscoe (Marie), Dawsie (Gustie), Bill (Joyce), and George Davis; sisters: Carrie (Ernest) Blankenship, Amanda Jane (John) Fletcher, Ethel Benzyk, Clora (Ross) Brooks, and Mary Davis; and son-in-laws, Ronnie Yancey and Gene Carr.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Carr, Rita Yancey, Kathy (Ervin) Sexton, Joe (Linda) Trammell, Jr., all of Winfield, and Judy (William) Brown of Bloomingdale, Ill.; grandchildren: Jimmy Bowman, Bruce Bowman, Janet Fair, Debbie Chambers, Angela Shoemaker, Veronica McQueary, Misty Boyes, William Joe Brown, David Denham, Derek Joseph Trammell, Eric Mason Trammell, Kerrie New, and Natalie Renae Lyons; 16 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, brother, Hughie Davis of Aurora, Colo.; special friends, Manford Cross and Debbie McCarroll; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted August 20, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Roe, Bro. James Bowman and Bro. Denny Wayne Davis officiating. Interment followed at D.C. Trammell Cemetery.
