Cleta Mae Mason Potter, 67, passed away August 14, 2016, at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell surrounded by family and friends.
Born in the Smoky Junction community, August 10, 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Irma Lowe Mason; husband, Sam Potter; daughters, Emilee Potter and infant, Cordie Lenell Potter; grandparents: Virgil and Bessie Lowe and Felin and Stella Mason; infant twin brother, Cletus Ray Mason; aunt, Patricia Kay Lowe; and brother-in-law, Odie Byrd.
She was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Genell (Roy) Boshears of Helenwood; son, Brandon (Lisa) Potter of Helenwood; grandchildren: Jacob and Joshua Boshears, and Ashlynn, Cameron, Braydon and Braxton Potter; sisters: Virginia Byrd of Carrollton, Ga., Brenda (Mack) Byrd of the Fairview community; Nannie (Loy) Hatfield of Helenwood, and Myrtle (Roger) Lowe, Lynn (Shane) Hatfield, and Kathy Mason all of the Smoky Junction community; brother, Hedrick (Bridget) Mason of Oneida; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted August 18, at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Buster Massengale, Bro. Carlie Duncan, Bro. Edmond Lowe and Bro. Chad Lowe officiating. Music was provided by the Mason Family and her grandchildren. Interment followed at Riverview Cemetery.
