Nannie Troxel, 103, of Oneida, passed away August 2, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Byrdstown, August 7, 1912, she was preceded in death by her parents, Winford and Maggie Reagan Means; husband, Russell Troxel; daughter,Barbara Jean (Ted Q.) Wilson; grandchildren, Nancy Bankston and Rusty Wilson; great-granddaughter, Sarah Bankston; and siblings: Annie Thompson, Daisy Sexton, Huse Means and Ida Lee Morris.
She was owner and operator of Troxel Motors, Inc., and was a member of High Point Baptist Church.
She is survived by her great-grandchildren: Denise McGhee, Kyle Bankston, Sean Wilson and Wade Wilson; great-great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jake, Laileigh Mason, Jack and Finley; great-great-great-grandchild, Teegan; Nannie Joe Chitwood family, Loretta Lloyd family, Cookie Childers family, Butch Morris family, Bill Thompson family; and nieces: Mary Morris, Mary Alice and Beth Ann; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted August 4, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Interment was conducted August 5, at Troxel Cemetery.
