James Lawton Terry, 72, of Oneida, passed away August 5, 2016, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Scott County, September 16, 1943, he was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie B. and Marie Butler Terry; brothers, Estel Terry and Eddie Dean Terry; and sisters: Helen Terry Crabtree and Joann Terry Winchester.
He is survived by his son, Les Terry; grandchildren, Austin Terry and Baylie Terry; Irene Terry, brother, Ralph (Dessie) Terry; sister, Imogene Adams; sister-in-law, Shirley Terry; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted August 8, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Graveside service was conducted August 9, at Scott County Memorial Gardens.
