Wanda Fay Carson, 67, of Helenwood, passed away July 21, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Oneida, April 9, 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Laura Jane Cecil Carson; brothers: Freddy, Marion, Charles, and Billy Carson; sister, Freda Carson; and brother-in-law, Crawford Phillips.
She was a faithful member of Big Ridge Road Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by her sisters: Gereda Phillips of the Pine Hill community, Phyllis (Doug) Griffith of Glenmary, and Patricia (Bob) Hill of Helenwood; brothers: Kennard (Martha) Carson of Pine Knot, Ky., Jimmy (Jeannie) Carson of Helenwood, and Teddy (Carol) Carson of Winfield; sisters-in-law: Sue Carson, Becky Carson, Eileen Wilson and Gayla Strunk; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted July 24, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Music was provided by Arzo and Linda Hamby. Interment followed at Cecil Cemetery.
