Ray Boyd Epperson, 78, of Robbins, passed away April 22, 2016, at Tennova Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Scott County, March 2, 1938, he was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer and Artie Mincie Goad Epperson; wife, Ruby Ellen Goodman Epperson; infant son, Dennie Lee Epperson; grandparents: Jessie and Martha Reagan Epperson and Barry Lee and Amanda Goad; brothers: Roy Lee, Charles Edward, and Donnie Glenn Epperson; sister, Lois Janivee Epperson.
He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed the fellowship of several churches.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Ray (Georgia) Epperson and Tammy Lynn Tyndall; grandchildren: David Michael Epperson, Stephanie Ann Melton, Nicholas Tyndall, Krista Shelton; great-grandchildren: Michael, Ariel, Rubyann, Devin, William, and Chance; sisters, Lillie Mae (Harvey) Hacker and Lola Epperson; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted April 26, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Huntsville with Bro. Greg Overton officiating. Music was provided by Pauline and Charles Coleman. Interment followed at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
