Rev. Arvil Ovie Phillips, 89, of Helenwood, passed away February 13, 2016, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida following a lengthy illness. Born October 14, 1926, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. William Riley and Josephine Strunk Phillips; children: Helen, Barbara and Arvil, Jr.; granddaughter,Cindy Phillips; and siblings: Maude, Virgil, Celie, Arnold, Mertie, Bertie Bell, Garvel, Silvin and Lindell.
