Carol Elizabeth Braden Houston, 66, passed away peacefully, January 4, 2016. Born in Oneida, in 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Edward and Doris Doreen Duncan Brewster; and brother, Larry Allen Brewster. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University, and received a master’s degree in social work from UTC. She taught special education at NAWHS; served as a director and houseparent at Cherokee Boys Estates; and was director of the Infant Pre-school Council.
